Xiaomi Mi 6 images tease curved design and dual rear cameras

Xiaomi has been unveiling small details about its upcoming Mi 6 smartphone on an almost daily basis ever since it was revealed that the device would be launching on April 19. Now, new videos of the Mi 6 have surfaced showing dual rear cameras and curved edges. Interestingly, the device may also lack a 3.5 mm audio jack not unlike the Lenovo Moto Z and, of course, the recent iPhone 7 series. A USB Type-C port can be seen on the bottom edge of the device adjacent to the speaker and microphone grilles.

The unreleased smartphone has recently made an appearance in the GeekBench database as well where it purportedly outperforms the Snapdragon 835 version of the Galaxy S8. The flagship Samsung scores 1916 points and 6011 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively, compared to 2006 points and 6438 points on the Mi 6. Even the Exynos SKU of the Galaxy S8 will be slightly slower than the Mi 6 if these raw benchmark tests are to be believed.

Xiaomi is one of the largest Chinese smartphone manufacturers worldwide despite the fact that it frequently falls behind Huawei on most lists and statistics. The company is looking to increase market share by expanding to developing regions where competition is lower and entry is easier.
