Microsoft has pretty much detailed all there is left to know about its new generation Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S gaming consoles. We now know that the Series X will be priced at US$499 and the Series S will be priced at a razor sharp US$299. The Series X will support 4K gaming at 60 fps up to 120 fps while the Series S will support 1440p gaming also at 60 fps and up to 120 fps.
One of the details we haven’t seen, until today that is, is the retail packaging of either console. The first to make an appearance is the Xbox Series X, courtesy of a Canadian retailer. Unsurprisingly, the image on the front focuses on the signature ventilation grill at the top of the console, as it features a mix of the signature black and green colors that have marked Microsoft’s flagship Xbox consoles.
In yesterday’s announcements, Microsoft also indicated that pre-orders for both consoles will start on September 22 with the consoles going on sale from November 10. It also confirmed that the consoles will be available through its Xbox All Access pass. Over 24 monthly installments, you can own the Series X console for US$34.99 a month or the Series S for US$24.99 a month. This includes a Game Pass Ultimate subscription which can be cancelled at the end of the 24-month period.
