WhatsApp: New features coming soon

Using WhatsApp on your Google Nexus phone or on your iPhone can be a different experience: As the two versions are being developed separately, they will get different features at a different time. The next updates will bring various new features for Android and iOS users.

Android users will get the possibility to forward messages to more than one person at the same time. Alternatively, they can choose to create a new group. This comes in quite handy as up until now you have to use the forward button for each user separately if they are not yet within a group. Beta version 2.16.230 is supposed to bring this functionality at the moment, only beta testers are able to access it. Furthermore, you will be able to create GIF-files and share them in one of the future updates.

iOS users now have the possibility to answer a WhatsApp call that has been declined by the opposite side with a voice message. This feature substitutes for an answering machine.
