Well-rated adventure runner title transitions from free game to paid soon

A well-rated free game on Steam, Cartoon Survivor, is about to transition to a paid title soon. As the latest announcement from the developer mentions, the transition will happen on August 28, 2025, but users who add it to their library before the shift happens can keep it without paying anything.

The base game comes with two worlds, with a total of 15 levels. There are more worlds available for this currently free game, but they are available through DLCs. In the announcement, the developer notes that each world will be available at a discounted price after the transition, and there will be a bundled pack with a discount available for those who want to get all the downloadable content at once.

As for the game itself, Cartoon Survivor is tagged as a 3D adventure runner game that's set in a colorful prehistoric world. It puts players in challenging courses that are filled with hazardous obstacles and fierce creatures like snakes, tigers, and dinosaurs.

Players need to run, jump, and glide across these obstacles to finish the courses. Each of Cartoon Survivor's worlds comes with dynamic characters and various landscapes. Per the players who have tried this free game, the visuals are cartoonish and bright, while the gameplay is said to offer an explosive, fun experience.
