Topaz,Pixi 2, Broadway, Manta might be unveiled

Hewlett-Packard Company, the American multinational information technology corporation is planning a press event in San Francisco on the 9th of February 2011 aiming towards an exciting webOS announcement, according to latest reports. It cannot be said with certainty as to what precisely is going to be let out of the bag by HP but there are indications that the event will revolve around big and small hardware.

Some devices which might possibly make an appearance would be the Pixi 2 and other devices that have been codenamed recently, such as the Broadway and Manta. Also much of the limelight is said to be hogged by the Topaz, also known as the PalmPad. The Topaz is said to have been taken up by HP after abandoning the marketing of the Windows 7-based Slate 500 for home use.

The Topaz is said to be in all likelihood featuring a 10-inch display, dual cameras and might also have USB 3.0 ports, although all these specifications have had no official confirmation by the company.

This WebOS event by HP next month is the first in two years from the Palm team to have gone outside of CES.
