American multinational firm HP, has commenced taking orders for the all new HP Pavilion dm1z which comes power packed with an AMD Zacate chip. The 11.6-inched laptop which features a 1366 x 768 pixel display comes with a 1.6GHz dual core AMD E-350 processor with Radeon HD 6310 graphics. It is said to accommodate 3GB of DDR3 memory and a 320GB hard disk storage and 7200RPM hard drive. OS is that of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
The HP Pavilion dm1z comes with a 6 cell battery, and 802.11b/g/n WiFi.
In case of an upgrade, users can choose from options to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. Memory can be ramped up to 4GB or 8GB of RAM, up to 750GB of hard drive space or a 128GB SSD. Battery power can also be enhanced by adding a spare battery.
Price The base model is selling for $449.99, however integrating all the above mentioned upgrades will take the price to somewhere higher than $1000.
