HP webOS might find a place in netbooks

Teaser
HP’s February 9 press event should clear doubts

When HP took over Palm, it had highly ambitious plans for the webOS and was believed to be the primary reason for the acquisition. Till now, the webOS mobile operating system has found a place in smartphones, and later in tablets courtesy HP. But now if reports are to be believed, the mobile OS from Hewlett Packard might also pave its way into netbooks.

This piece of news can be believed to be true if we pay some attention to HP biggies like Tom Bradley and Jon Rubinstein who have indicated in the past of webOS-powered netbooks in the making. All the speculations will come to rest once HP opens its February 9 press event in San Francisco. The press event will be worth a wait as HP had no presence in this year’s CES and so all the announcements HP has held back can be expected here.
