Huawei has refreshed the Watch FIT, its rather elongated smartwatch that we reviewed last year. While the company was expected to announce a Watch FIT 2, it has unveiled a Watch FIT Mini instead. Unsurprisingly, the new smartwatch is a fair bit smaller than its predecessor.
Specifically, Huawei has equipped the Watch FIT Mini with a 1.47-inch display, 0.17-inches smaller than the Watch FIT's 1.64-inch panel. The display continues to be an AMOLED panel though, albeit a lower resolution one. While the Watch FIT resolves at 280 x 456 pixels, the Watch FIT Mini outputs at 194 x 368 pixels.
Additionally, the Watch FIT Mini measures just 26 mm across. However, the smartwatch still packs plenty of health-tracking features, including a SpO2 sensor, sleep tracking and stress monitoring. Huawei has pre-installed 96 exercise modes too, which dovetail with the smartwatch's 5 ATM water resistance.
Huawei states that the Watch FIT Mini will last up to 14 days between charges of its 180 mAh battery. Currently, the Watch FIT Mini is available to order for €99 in the EU. It is unclear when, or if, Huawei plans to release the smartwatch in other markets though, such as India, the UK or the US.
