It is no secret that Vivo is developing new smartwatches under the Vivo Watch brand. Now, the company has added references to a new model in its smartphone companion app. As the screenshot below shows, Vivo has effectively confirmed that its next smartwatch will be the Vivo Watch 2.
Currently, Vivo blocks people from pairing a Watch 2, understandable since the company has not released it yet. However, Vivo has included an image of the device, which confirms a few details about it. Incidentally, the Vivo Watch 2's design has already leaked courtesy of a TENAA listing.
Specifically, the Vivo Watch 2 has a round display, matching its predecessor. Reputedly, the smartwatch will only be available as a 46 mm smartwatch, albeit with much smaller bezels than its predecessor. The Watch 2 should also support 4G connectivity via an eSIM, powered by a 501 mAh battery.
Unfortunately, it is unclear when Vivo plans to launch the Watch 2. Likewise, the company has not hinted at a new smartwatch being available outside China. Nonetheless, the Watch 2's appearance in Vivo's Sports Health app implies that the company is close to announcing it.
