Reviews for the Vivo V30e

Overall, the vivo V30e is a decent phone, but it is easily outshined by its siblings, particularly the V30 Pro 5G. But as mentioned before, the V30 Pro 5G is now a lot more expensive (starting at PHP 34,999) than its predecessor, making it a bit out of reach for budget-conscious buyers. For comparison, the vivo V30e retails for PHP 17,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant. For reference, its predecessor the vivo V29e retailed for PHP 18,999, making it even more affordable than before. At that price point, it’s hard to complain about the vivo V30e for everything it can offer. You have nice cameras, a beautiful AMOLED display, a stylish design, and a capable chipset that can run graphic-intensive titles. Still, it’s not perfect. There’s the heating issue when playing games, and the lack of stereo speakers. But what do you think of the vivo v30e? Would you consider it over the V30 Pro 5G if you lack the budget or save up a bit more? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Overall, the vivo V30e is a good mid-range device that offers decent features. For the price of PHP17,999, the vivo V30e offers an amazing display, ample camera, and gaming performance with impressive battery efficiency. Aside from all that, you also get an aesthetically pleasing device. There are other options in the market with the same price tag, but if you are specifically looking to buy a vivo smartphone, then the vivo V30e is a good buy.

While it has a lower SRP than the V29e, vivo had to make a few compromises to the V30e to maintain that pricing. However, it makes up for it with quality-of-life upgrades with the processor, video recording capabilities, and an IP rating, while its biggest upgrade over the V30e’s predecessor is the display and the sensor used for the main camera.

Rs 27,999 is the asking price of the Vivo V30e as of the time of writing, and at that price, there is no shortage of smartphones available within the segment. Some of the popular alternatives include the OnePlus Nord CE 4 (review), POCO X6 Pro (review), and Realme 12 Pro+ (review), and each of them has their pros and cons when compared to Vivo’s offering. If performance is your priority, the POCO X6 Pro and OnePlus Nord CE 4 are worth checking out. The Realme 12 Pro+, on the other hand, has a versatile camera setup featuring a telephoto lens. That said, these alternatives are predominantly available online through platforms like Flipkart and Amazon. In contrast, the Vivo V30e targets both offline and online markets. For offline buyers, it presents an enticing mid-range option with its appealing design, vibrant display, and impressive battery life. Barring the low-light performance, the V30e’s cameras are commendable.

The Vivo V30e is a masterclass in design – it is meticulously designed to provide a premium look at a relatively affordable price. The battery life is also one of the best in the sub-₹30,000 price segment. The OnePlus Nord CE4 beats it in this regard but it is also a bulkier phone. Not just that, the Vivo V30e performs admirably in many other areas. The primary and selfie cameras are pretty solid for the price, the display is bright enough to use even in direct sunlight, and Vivo has promised a solid three years of software updates. However, if you are a mobile gamer looking for a powerful phone under ₹30K, the POCO X6 Pro and OnePlus Nord CE4 are better options, without a doubt. Following the debut of the Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro (review), Vivo introduced its 2024 ‘e’ series addition, the Vivo V30e.

So should you buy this smartphone? Well, that highly depends on usage. If you are someone who is attracted towards a sleek, lightweight and good-looking smartphone, then the Vivo V303 checks all the boxes. While the smartphone lacks in some areas, it does excel in providing impressive battery life, great viewing experience, decent gaming experience, acceptable camera performance and more. However, if you have heavy smartphone usage and looking for gaming purposes then you can skip this one.

Powering the phone is a 5,500mAh battery that can be charged using the bundled 44W charging adaptor. The Vivo V30e competes with the Realme 12 Pro and Honor X9b with its sub-Rs. 30,000 price tag and similar specifications. But how well does it perform in real-world usage? We'll find out in our full review of the Vivo V30e which will be out soon.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.70.5%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
