Teaser
10 Inch tablet will feature dual-boot option between Windows and Android

While the Mobile World Congress isn’t till next week, companies have been launching products all week with promises of previews at the tech conference. The latest product launch comes courtesy of Viewsonic, as they launched their new Pro 10 tablet along with a dual-sim smartphone in a press release today.

According to the press release, the business-oriented ViewPad Pro 10 will join the Pro 7 and gTablet in Viewsonic’s tablet ranks. The new tablet will feature a 10” screen with a 1024x600 pixel resolution, Intel’s Oak Trail processor, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and at least 6 hours of battery life. The feature that should entice businesses is Viewsonic’s dual-boot option. The new option will supposedly offer “a quick switch capability between Windows® 7 Professional for business use and Google Android 2.2 for personal and social entertainment”.

Viewsonic also announced that the Tegra 2 powered Viewpad 10s 3G, announced at CES back in January, will be previewed at the MWC. As of now there is no word of pricing or actual launch date; however, more details of the ViewPad Pro 10 and various other devices should pour out next week from Spain.
