German power supply manufacturer, BeQuiet, announced two new SFX-L PSU at Computex 2017, which are now available for purchase. For these fully modular models (one 500 W and one 600 W) BeQuiet partnered with High Power as the OEM, instead of their usual partnership with FSP.
SFX power supplies are designed for small form factor cases, but they contain louder 80 mm fans, and for some computer cases, they are smaller than necessary. SFX-L sits between an SFX and ATX PSU; it has dimensions similar to SFX but features a larger 120 mm fan to help reduce noise output.
Both of these PSU are rated 80Plus Gold and have peak efficiency up to 92 percent. They use high-quality Japanese capacitors, feature various over volt, over current and over load protection, and they also come with an ATX adaptor for use in cases not designed specifically for smaller power supplies.
These PSUs are now available at an MSRP of US$119 (500 W), or US$145 (600 W). Both come with a three-year warranty.

I grew up in a family surrounded by technology, starting with my father loading up games for me on a Commodore 64, and later on a 486. In the late 90's and early 00's I started learning how to tinker with Windows, while also playing around with Linux distributions, both of which gave me an interest for learning how to make software do what you want it to do, and modifying settings that aren't normally user accessible. After this I started building my own computers, and tearing laptops apart, which gave me an insight into hardware and how it works in a complete system. Now keeping up with the latest in hardware and software news is a passion of mine.
