Tomb Raider I-III Remastered gets new update, mobile edition, and limited time discount

The original Tomb Raider trilogy was remastered and released for consoles and PC in 2024. A year later, the remaining three games in the hexalogy were also remastered and released for these platforms. Now, the first three games have been released on more platforms alongside a new free update that brings several new features and a new game mode.
According to an official announcement, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is now available on the App Store for iOS devices, on the Google Play Store for Android devices, and on the Nintendo eShop for the Switch 2. Techradar reported that Aspyr, the studio and publisher behind the remaster, revealed to them that the mobile version is unique, as it is based on the original code and not a port of the version released for other platforms. However, the game contains all of the same content, expansions, and features as the version on other platforms.
Although Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered hasn't been released for mobile devices yet, it is only a matter of when, not if.
In addition, the mobile version of the game has had its menu optimized for mobile and also has support for both touch controls and controller support. So if you have an external mobile controller such as the 8BitDo Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller (available on Amazon for $34.32) or even an Android handheld such as the Retroid Pocket 6, you should have no issues when playing.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version, on the other hand, takes advantage of the new hardware and offers features such as 1440p at 60fps when in docked mode or 1080p at 120fps in handheld mode.
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered not only lands on new platforms, but also comes with a free update for all versions. The update brings a challenge mode that allows users to modify game parameters such as health, damage, and bonuses, for a more challenging experience.
There are also 10 new outfits that can be unlocked when certain achievements are completed. These outfits are not only cosmetic, but also have upgraded abilities such as increased speed. There are also 15 new achievements that can be completed when users complete levels in challenge mode. The update is available now for those who already own the game on existing platforms, while those who just want to purchase the game will find the updated features are already included.
As part of the announcement, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is now available with a 50% limited-time discount on all platforms, so instead of $29.99, you get to pay $14.99. The mobile version even allows users to play the first level of each game for free before committing to purchasing the full version. Owners of the original Switch version get a free upgrade for the Switch 2 version.
