This new game from the Game of Thrones universe plunges you back into the bloody world of Westeros

While the creator of Game of Thrones struggles to complete his books, and fans eagerly await the sequel to House of the Dragon, the best-selling franchise is making its way into the world of video games. After Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, a new game was unveiled at Summer Game Fest 2025.

Called Games of Thrones: War for Westeros, this game could well drive some fans of the eponymous series crazy. Indeed, it was in a trailer showing only cinematics that players were able to discover this new game, which will be an RTS.

The Night King was seen killing Jon Snow in cold blood with his sword in a duel worthy of those in the series. Subsequently, the King of the North awakens as the White Walker, under the orders of the Night King.

As far as gameplay is concerned, several details were revealed during the conference. You'll be able to manage the armies of House Stark, Lannister, Targaryen and the Army of the Dead. What's more, if you take a closer look at the type of gameplay on offer, you'll be able to play brutal battles featuring cavalry, infantry, giants and dragons.

Game of Thrones: War for Westeros will also feature a campaign that takes you on a journey through the realm of Westeros and the Seven Kingdoms. Not to mention the chance to relive some of the most iconic moments from the books and the series.

Finally, don't forget that Game of Thrones is all about politics, with many alliances and betrayals. And it will also have a special place in this new video game created by PlaySide Studios, which made Age of Darkness, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, which made Hogwarts Legacy and LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga. It will be available during 2026 on PC, and can be played in single or multiplayer mode.
