Thinkpad X1 is now available for order

The Thinkpad X1 is now available for $1400 on selected online retailers and the Lenovo official site

We have been keeping you updated with the latest development of Lenovo’s Thinkpad x1 and are glad to say that the thinnest Thinkpad is now available for order on selected online retailers and also from the Lenovo official product site.

Lenovo markets it as a business laptop that combines best consumer features such as rich multimedia experience and stylish look. Well, although the look has not changed much, Lenovo has succeeded in giving it a sleeker and glossier look while preserving the traditional Thinkpad look and feel.

The X1 sports a 13” screen in a body that is only 0.67” thick, while underneath runs a powerful Intel Core i7 processor. Lenovo provides the Enhanced Experience 2.0 for Windows 7, which they claim allows users to start their laptop about 20 seconds faster than a typical Windows 7 computer.

The X1 is expected to compete against the likes of Apple Macbook Air and Samsung Series 9.
