Lenovo’s ultra-thin X1 notebook makes its way onto comparison page; more specs revealed

If last week’s cheesy promo wasn’t enough to satisfy your curiosity about the ThinkPad X1, then perhaps the latest info will. Though the laptop won’t be arriving till tomorrow, Lenovo has already gone ahead and added it to the ThinkPad X series comparison page.

When the X1 showed up for pre-order on Amazon.com, we were disappointed due to the lack of the previously rumored SSD storage. Thankfully the latest listing has cleared things up, as the comparison page now shows optional SSDs in addition to the Sandy Bridge processors. Furthermore, the page confirms that the X1 will be coming with a SuperBright HD IPS panel (350 nit) taking cover behind some Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Other interesting points include an optional fingerprint reader, a buttonless touchpad, and a RapidCharge battery.

With an IPS display and optional SSD, the 13.3” ThinkPad X1 could give the MacBook Air a run for its money. Sadly, the comparison page fails to mention any price tag, but with the launch only a day a way, make sure to stay tuned for more info.
