The latest Google Pixel adverts boast of up to 48 hours of battery and enterprise-grade security thanks to the in-house Titan M chip
While the Pixel 5a has reared its head at the FCC, Google has released three new adverts highlighting the benefits of its Pixel smartphones. According to the company, its smartphones can last up to 48 hours between charges, a bold statement that it then contradicts in a paragraph of small print.
Unsurprisingly, Google explains that a third party achieved this claim by enabling 'Extreme Battery Saver' mode. Undoubtedly, the Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 all have good battery life, but you will not get 48 hours most of the time.

The second advert extols the virtues of in-house Titan M security chip. Google has explained how Titan M works before, although Android OEMs have their equivalents, such as Samsung with Knox.
Finally, Google insists that its Call Screen feature can 'block unwanted calls, in a nice way'. In short, Call Screen works by allowing Google Assistant to answer the call to determine if it is spam. Call Screen still only works automatically in the US though, and solely in English. The feature works manually in Canada and Japan, too; talk about limited availability.
