The ZTE Light Tab 2 tablet to arrive in the UK in February
The Chinese “telecommunications equipment and systems company”, ZTE is reportedly getting ready to introduce a new tablet in the United Kingdom. Called Light Tab 2, this slate will go on sale later next month for £235 (approximately $370).
The new tablet will supposedly be powered by a single-core Qualcomm Scorpion central processing unit clocked at 1.4GHz. In addition, ZTE’s latest device will ship with a 7-inch multi-touchscreen display that has a maximum supported resolution of 1024-by-600 pixels.
Reportedly, the slate houses 512MB of internal DDR3 RAM and 4GB storage that you can increase by utilizing the integrated micro-SD card reader slot. Further features include Wireless LAN, Bluetooth and 3G adapters, a micro-USB port and two built-in cameras – a rear 3.2MP one and a front-facing web camera with VGA quality.
The ZTE Light Tab 2 will run a pre-installed copy of Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with no info whether the device will be getting an ICS update anytime soon (or at all).
