Tesla is starting to stack deals and incentives for the holidays, aiming to stall the sales slump that happened after the federal tax credit expiration at the end of September.
Last week, it introduced the ever-popular 0% APR financing deal for the RWD Model Y standard and lowered the interest rate on the Premium versions, too.
For inventory vehicles that keep piling up, it has been offering one free options upgrade, be it larger wheels, a white interior, a free color, a tow hitch, or anything else available as an option on a vehicle it has in stock.
Model Y inventory discount
To clear up inventory faster and pad the Q4 shipment numbers, though, Tesla is cutting $2,000 off the price of Model Y Premium units it has in its inventory.
One example comes with Ultra Red color, 19-inch Crossflow wheels, and a black interior at its regular $44,990 price, which is essentially a $2,000 discount in the form of red paint that is otherwise a paid option.
To those two grand, Tesla now adds another $2,000 as a direct "price adjustment," making this the best Model Y inventory deal in a while. Besides the Premium trims, the discounts now include the Model Y Standard, too, on which Tesla is already running a 0% APR financing rate deal.
