Apart from introducing a single-motor trim of the 2026 Model Y, Tesla is making its most popular vehicle more affordable by offering a cheaper financing rate. The new APR deal is valid for the more expensive Model Y trim.

After introducing 0% APR financing incentive for the Model 3, Tesla is now making the Model Y more accessible with an interest rate deal.

Granted, it is not the zero APR financing offered on the Model 3, but is still almost three times less than what Tesla charges on the Model S, Model X, or even Model Y RWD payments.

Model Y APR financing deal

  • 1.99%
  • 2.99% with zero due at signing
  • Tax credit can be applied as down payment
  • 36-72 months terms

The 1.99% APR financing rate deal is valid for the new 2026 Model Y Long Range AWD trim. Available to qualified buyers with good credit score, it requires a minimum down payment of 15% that the federal tax credit can be used towards.

If the buyer wants to pay zero at signing, the APR rate jumps to 2.99%, making the minimum monthly payment $654 for the longest 6-year term.

The 1.99% Model Y APR financing offer now starts the payments on an AWD trim from $603/month when the federal subsidy is used to count as a down payment. That is for the longest 6-year term, but the APR rate promo is also valid for the 36-, 48-, and 60-month terms as well.

Unfortunately, the Model Y APR financing rate deal can't be stacked with the $2,000 Loyalty Incentive that Tesla currently gives to early owners of the legacy Model Y. Any other promos or credits from Tesla's Refer and Earn Program can be stacked on top of the new Model Y interest rate offer, though.

Tesla just introduced a cheaper Model Y RWD trim that costs $4,000 less than its AWD sibling, but the 1.99% APR financing rate is not valid for this one. The RWD version is still financed at the standard 5.49% APR rate, which explains why its monthly payment is nearly identical with financing a dual-motor Model Y.

The RWD is still a fresh edition that offers the longest range on a Model Y, though, and it might be just a matter of time before Tesla brings lower APR financing rates to its cheapest Model Y as well.
