TP-Link Neffos smartphone with 18:9 screen and Snapdragon 835 SoC gets leaked
TP-Link is usually associated with quality routers and networking devices, so the leaked high-end Neffos smartphone might come as a surprise. The company did indeed try its hand at mid-range smartphones one year ago, with the Neffos X1 and X1 Max models, but going for a high-end smartphone shortly after seems like a bold move.
The flagship Neffos smartphone was leaked on a Ukrainian site and it looks like a great competitor for the Galaxy S. TP-Link chose to include an 18:9 screen with slim bezels and rounded edges, as these prove to be popular on high-end models nowadays. The front render does not show any home button, and the fingerprint sensor appears to be placed on the back side. Spec-wise, the smartphone packs some serious power with the Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 6 GB of RAM. The leak reveals that there are versions with up to 256 GB of internal storage. It also includes an impressive dual rear camera setup, with a 2X optical zoom 20 MP sensor and an additional 16 MP one, plus another 16 MP sensor in front, for selfies.
TP-Link is expected to make an official announcement for the leaked high-end model any day now.
