The Intel Core Duo T2600 was the second fastest laptop processor in 2006 (after the top model, the Core Duo T2700). It is based on the Yonah architecture and therefore contains two Pentium M like cores. All Core Duo processor do not support 64 Bit operating systems and were later replaced by cheaper Core 2 Duo models based on the Merom and Penryn core.
The Intel Core Duo T2700 was 2006 the fastest laptop processor. It offered two cores (still based on the Pentium M, and therefore without 64 Bit support). Virtualization VT-x was already supported by the CPU. In 2010, the performance is only in the low end class on par with a cheap 2 GHz Core 2 Duo P7370.
