Syncere unveils $2,699 Lume lamp that folds the laundry
Syncere has unveiled the Lume floor lamp that can tidy smarthomes thanks to its robotic capabilities. The light is programmed to handle a set of daily household tasks, which can be customized by the owner. Additional tasks and functionality will be added over time.
The Lume measures as small as 11 x 15 x 45 in. (27.9 x 38.1 x 114.3 cm) when folded and unfolds to take care of chores, including folding the laundry, loading and unloading the dishwasher, tidying rooms, making the bed, and retrieving objects for its owners.
It also has a focused lamp to illuminate reading material and an ambient light for general mood or room lighting when it is not doing chores.
Owners can wear the Personalization Band around their hands to further customize the way the robotic lamp does chores such as folding clothes. The company will also release new skill updates over time.
The Lume will detect objects and people nearby and pause tasks for safety when obstructed. Additional details and specifications have not been released.
A single Lume is priced at $2,699, while the Lume Duet pair is priced at $5,199. Delivery is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with shipments prioritizing New York and the San Francisco Bay Area customers who place orders early. A $79/month subscription or a $679 one-time purchase is also required to access software updates, new features, and additional tasks.
