Deal | Steam adds more free games before March 2026 wraps up

Right before March 2026 ends, another wave of free games has surfaced on Steam. These new additions were released on the platform throughout the month, and even though many don't have player ratings yet, a couple have decent player receptions.
These indie games also have relatively lax system requirements, meaning they will run on most PCs, including those with a capable iGPU (such as the Bosgame P3 that's curr. $569.99 on Amazon). With that said, here are some notable mentions from the latest batch:
- Only Faces Remain - a short psychological horror game that leans heavily on exploration. This free game became available on Steam on March 9, and so far, it has received 60 reviews, with 90% of them being positive.
- Metal Hunter - released on March 6, this is a JRPG with vehicle combat. This freebie currently has over 300 player reviews, of which 93% are positive.
- Netoo - a logic-based puzzle game with a minimalistic design. It launched on Steam as a free game on March 3, and currently, it's rated as "Very Positive."
- Kila: Hourbound - an action-adventure with platforming elements that's set in a world with floating islands. This hack-and-slash game launched on March 3, and it currently boasts 72% positive rating.
- Ferret Quest - a hand-drawn action game that lets players battle through as a ferret. This freebie made its Steam debut on March 14, and so far, it has received 12 reviews and an 83% positive rating.
- Bomb's Lair - a 2D puzzle game that features over 40 levels and retro-styled visuals. Launched on March 11, this free game currently holds a 94% positive rating.
- Pest'Off - an action-heavy first-person shooter with a fun-filled storyline. This student-made free game became available on Steam on March 14, and it currently sports an 81% positive rating with over 25 reviews.
- Exit: Echoes of insanity - a horror free game that lets players fill the role of a psychologist trapped in a building filled with secrets. It currently holds a "Positive" rating with over 20 reviews.
- UMBRA - released on March 10, this is a top-down survival horror game that's set in an abandoned spaceship. It currently holds an 88% positive rating on Steam.
- Neo Dance - a music game that's set in a dystopian cyberpunk world filled with robots. It became available on Steam on March 11, and currently, it holds a 100% positive player rating.
It's worth noting that these games may not remain free-to-play for long, as many developers tend to switch to the paid model to gain more traction. However, if they remain added to users' libraries, such paid model switches will not change anything.
