Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact hits the FCC
Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is a waterproof Android tablet from the notorious Xperia family of products that has been unveiled earlier this month in Berlin, at IFA 2014. Now this slate is getting closer to its release on the market as it has recently been spotted on the FCC website.
The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact model listed on the FCC is codenamed SGP641 and got the following certifications: GSM, WCDMA, FDD-LTE, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth. This slate is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC, coupled with 3 GB of memory and 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage. Its screen has 8 inches diagonal and no less than 1,200X1,920 pixels resolution.
Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact will ship loaded with Android 4.4 KitKat but pricing and availability still have to be announced. By the looks of its specs and features list, this slate promises to be a worthy competitor for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and the notorious iPad Mini Retina.
