With the Sony WH-1000XM6 slated to launch later this year, its predecessor, the WH-1000XM5, has been getting some nice discounts on multiple platforms. Now, you can grab a brand-new pair off Amazon for just $249, making it $100 cheaper than what it usually retails for. This only applies to the Black, Silver and Smoky Pink colour variants. CamelCamelCamel confirms this is the lowest the headphones have ever sold for in recent history.
The Sony WH-1000XM5 needs little introduction as it is one of the best reviewed wireless headphones on the market. It comes with all the bells and whistles of a high-end headset, such as Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), dual-device connectivity, touch controls and integration with Google Assistant/Alexa. Its companion app lets you fine-tune your experience further, and it is downloadable on Android and iOS.
Sony claims the WH-1000XM5 can last 30 hours on a full charge. Independent testing has revealed that figure can go as high as 27 hours under the right conditions. So far, we know very little about what the WH-1000XM6 might have in store, so now is as good a time as any to grab a WH-1000XM5 if you're in the market for high-end audio solutions.
