Just Move: Clean City Messy Battle is a simple but difficult game; being an auto-shooter, all you have to do is move around. However, at the later stages of the game, the hordes of enemies become challenging to beat. Even the developer says, "Sometimes you need luck to win."

For combat, you use a ranged weapon, while the enemies you encounter can have melee or ranged weapons. Being a projectile-based game, you can see and dodge the projectiles fired at you, adding a bit of depth to the combat. To attack enemies, you simply have to come within range, but if you make contact, they become too close for you to shoot at even though they can still attack you.

Killing enemies drops items like coins, health, and weapon parts. You can craft new weapons using the dropped weapon parts. You can also use the coins to upgrade your character and existing weapons, increasing your overall strength.

Review-wise, it currently has about 127 Steam reviews, out of which only 29% are positive. Among the things that give it a bad name is the sudden shift from too easy to overly difficult. Players also complain about the oversimplification of its design leading to a lack of features and partial controller support, though Just Move: Clean City Messy Battle is built around a minimal four-button control layout.
