The WiMAX-enabled HTC Flyer should be landing on the Sprint network on June 24th if the leaked screenshot from Engadget is to be believed.
The screenshot captured from the internal Sprint Rewards Me site shows a list of smartphones for June 2011 promotions. On the top of the list sits the HTC EVO View 4G with the banner “6/24” on top of its name. If true, this would mean the tablet is coming just in time for its planned summer release.
Meanwhile, the HTC Flyer has been available in the U.S. since May 22nd. The tablet ships with Android Gingerbread with a promised upgrade to Honeycomb sometime in the near future. The same will likely apply to the EVO View 4G as well.
The HTC EVO View 4G was officially revealed earlier this year at CTIA 2011. It is, in essence, a 4G-enabled HTC Flyer, so expect the same 1024x600 screen resolution, 1.5GHz single-core Snapdragon CPU, 1GB RAM, and the myriad of connectivity options. Hopefully, Sprint will include the digital Scribe Pen with every tablet, as Best Buys in the U.S. have been notoriously selling the stylus separately with each Flyer purchase.
