Samsung Pay to launch in Canada next month

Samsung Pay to go live in Canada next month
Samsung Pay to hit Canada
After announcing that it would reach Canada this year, Samsung is now ready to launch its mobile payment service next month, when it will hit the local market offering support for CIBC Visa cards.

Samsung Pay continues to expand, although the Galaxy Note 7 failure may have an impact on its growth as well. After all, there is a significant percent of Samsung handset users who decided they would not get another handset from the manufacturer - at least not on the next upgrade/replacement. However, Samsung Pay will soon reach Canada, so there are no delays yet.

Earlier this year, we heard that Samsung Pay is scheduled to reach Canada by 2017. Now, Twitter user Saifali Maknojiya has just unveiled that Samsung's customer service answered to his question about the mobile payment service, unveiling the local launch date. The representative of the company said the following: "Please know that these services will be made available from the first week of November, 2016 in Canada. And, initially the service will be launched with CIBC VISA cards."

Samsung Canada still has to officially confirm the above, but that is only a matter of time. More details about the banks available at launch and when will others be added should be available in early November, so stay tuned.
