Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus to feature 4 GB of RAM and Exynos 7420

There have been a lot of rumors recently regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus that is supposed to launch in August, most likely alongside the Galaxy Note 5. According to a new report, the S6 Edge Plus will be equipped with 4 gigabytes of RAM, just like the Note 5.

That’s not the only significant bit of new information about the S6 Edge Plus that the aforementioned report brings. Allegedly, the new smartphone will be powered by the same octa-core Exynos 7420 SoC that Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have been using. However, the chipset in the Plus edition will reportedly be clocked a bit higher, which should bring increased performance when compared to the currently available handsets. Previous leaks suggested that S6 Edge Plus would be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 system-on-a-chip.

Another bit of specs of the upcoming handset revealed today concerns the battery, which will allegedly have a capacity of 3000 mAh. It’s not very much, which would mean that the S6 Edge Plus might be a very thin smartphone. We’ll just have to wait 2-3 weeks longer to find out how this affects the battery life.
