The update has begun to roll out in Europe for the SM-G903F variant, so it should also hit other variants all across the world soon.

The Samsung Exynos 7580 Octa-powered Galaxy S5 Neo arrived last August, loaded with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It comes in three main variants - SM-G903F, SM-G903M, and SM-G903W. While the first one retails in Europe, the other two are available in the US and Canada.

Although nothing is official yet, multiple user reports claim that SM-G903F has begun to receive Android 6.0.1 in several European countries, including Austria, the Netherlands, and Germany. The new firmware carries version number G903FXXU1BPD4 and includes all the usual Marshmallow goodies - Google Now on Tap, Doze mode, granular app permissions, new emojis, multiple tweaks and fixes, the latest security updates, and more.

As it usually happens with OTA updates, those who did not get the notification yet can check manually via Settings > About device > Software updates. We will probably get back to the S5 Neo as soon as it receives the Marshmallow update in the US, so stay tuned.
