Samsung Galaxy S5 camera issues were reported starting this Monday and it looked like no fix was in sight. It also seemed like this problem only affected Verizon models, but both Samsung and Verizon Wireless were quick to answer these user complaints.
Samsung sent a message regarding this bug to Droid Life shortly after Verizon Wireless posted on Twitter a solution for those affected, which should contact @VZWsupport to work on solving the problem "including replacing the device."
This is Samsung's entire message regarding the "Warning: Camera Failed" bug: "Samsung is committed to providing the best experience for customers. We have learned that a limited number of Galaxy S 5 devices may have an issue that causes “Camera Failure” pop-up error message. We ask that customers affected call 1-888-987-4357 or visit their carrier for service under Samsung’s standard limited warranty."
Next to Samsung Galaxy S5 users on Verizon, AT&T and Vodafone users also reported having this issue. It is not clear yet how many handsets suffer from this problem but is good to know there is a solution available, even if this means to replace the affected phones.
