Deal | Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is now $300 cheaper than iPhone Air in this new deal
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is now back to its record-low price on Amazon following a 36% discount, which has slashed its list price from $1,099.99 to $699.99. That's a $400 in savings, matching its lowest-ever price on the site, according to Camelcamelcamel.
The Galaxy S25 Edge was launched back in May, and one of its main downsides compared to the recently launched iPhone Air was its higher price. The base model with 256GB originally cost $1,099.99, $100 more than the iPhone Air, which starts at $999 with the same storage. With this deal in play, the Edge now undercuts the Air by $300, making it a more attractive option for buyers weighing the two slim phones.
At $699.99, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge offers strong value for what it brings to the table. It has a vibrant a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 2,875 cd/m² peak brightness (measured). Under the hood, it's powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, which we found to be a very capable chip during our hands-on review, even trading blows with the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max. Battery life was excellent as well, lasting more than 25 hours of HD video playback.
Perhaps its biggest highlight is the size. Measuring 75.8 mm x 158.4 mm x 5.85 mm and weighing just 163 grams, the Galaxy S25 Edge is slightly lighter than the iPhone Air (165 grams) and just a hair thicker. Samsung also managed to fit in a bigger battery, stereo speakers, and a dual-camera setup at the back: a 200 MP wide and a 12 MP ultrawide. In comparison, the Air has a single rear camera and only one speaker at the earpiece.
That said, the Galaxy S25 Edge has slower wireless charging than the Air (15 W vs 20 W). It also lacks a telephoto lens, unlike other S25 models, and may present flickering issues for sensitive eyes. For more details, check out our detailed review of the Galaxy S25 Edge.
