The next-gen Note phablet is expected to feature a 5.7-inch OLED screen with a flexible display version to be launched later as well.

If Samsung decides to do the same as in the past, the next-gen Galaxy phablet should be unveiled in September, at the IFA 2014 tech fair in Berlin. The first three generations were all announced at this event and recent reports published in the South Korean media confirm that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be uncovered this September in Berlin as well.

Samsung partners and major media outlets should receive their invitations to the September 3 IFA 2014 launch event that was not confirmed by the South Korean company yet but has been in the rumor mill for a while. According to industry insiders, Samsung hopes to launch the Note 4 before Apple's iPhone 6 hits the market and the phablet will have higher specs than the Galaxy S5 smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be powered by a high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC and could become the first smartphone/phablet equipped with retinal scanner if rumors prove to be true. In addition to the 5.7-inch OLED screen version, one with a flexible display could be announced as well, but it will probably be manufactured in limited numbers.

We will surely hear more about this as soon as Samsung begins to send out invites to the launch event or maybe even earlier, so stay close for more info.
