Reviews for the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro 13 NP930XED-KA1DE
The Galaxy Book2 weighs less than 1 kg and is powered by a 12th generation Intel i5. It is also extremely thin thanks to its OLED display. The result is an extremely portable notebook that Samsung has endowed with stamina and performance, but also with the usual weaknesses.

Samsung has announced updates to its Galaxy Book Pro laptop range at MWC 2022, but new features look fairly thin on the ground. Launching alongside the 360-degree convertible, the 2022 Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro is extremely thin and light, just like last year’s Galaxy Book, and comes with a Full HD OLED display, again the same as last year. It still comes in 13.3in and 15.6in screen sizes and you can choose between graphite or silver colourways. The 2022 Book2 Pro models are lighter and slimmer, but only by a tiny amount. The 13.3in model weighs a mere 0.87kg and measures 11.2mm thick, while the 15.6in version comes in at a scarcely believable 1.11kg and measures 11.7mm thick. In fact, if you were to compare the 2022 and 2021 Galaxy Book Pro side by side by side you’d struggle to tell the difference. From the images Samsung has so far supplied, they look pretty much identical to the previous models. The main changes are invisible to the naked eye.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro is a modestly priced Windows 11 laptop. It punches above its weight in terms of design and performance, yet leaves one asking for more due to thermal issues. Important to note, thermal issues are prevalent in thin-and-light laptop category, especially those powered by 11th and 12th Gen Intel Core processors and the Galaxy Book 2 Pro is no exception. On other parameters, the Galaxy Book 2 Pro not just meets expectations but also exceeds in some cases. It has a sturdy build, dazzling screen, good backlit keyboard and touchpad, host of I/O ports, and top-notch connectivity.

Samsung makes some drool-worthy smartphones and now that we got a taste of the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro, we can say the same confidently for its laptops too. The Galaxy Book 2 Pro is unbelievably lightweight and easy to handle, has oodles of performance to offer for regular folks, offers an amazing display, and has got all the necessary ports to get some work done. For a laptop costing just above Rs. 1 lakh, these form a good specifications sheet. That said, there are areas where the Galaxy Book 2 Pro falls behind its competition. The keyboard isn’t pleasant to use on the long run, and the battery life is average at best. The aggressive power management slows things and considering the Core i7 variant, Samsung could have offered an NVIDIA MX series GPU to enable decent editing and creative work. At Rs. 1,14,990, the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro gets competition from the 13-inch Dell XPS, which we consider the benchmark for Windows notebooks.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 is a 2-in-1 premium ultrabook powered by the Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake-P series processor based on the Evo platform. The laptop delivers relatively high performance compared to last-gen ultrabooks from the competition, in addition to vastly improved battery life as well. The Galaxy Book 2 Pro does feature a few drawbacks, particularly in terms of I/O ports and thermal performance but despite that quirk, the laptop still comes out on top in several of our tests.

Finally, as with last year's models, Samsung has squeezed in a surprisingly generous number of ports and sockets, including full-size USB-A and HDMI ports into such a slim and light machine as well as amicroSD slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The new laptops will be available at some point during April 2022, so keep your eyes peeled for our full review.

I was lucky enough to visit TCL's booth at the MWC event in Barcelona. TCL is N2 brand on the TV market and they have now expanded their portfolio and deep knowledge on display to all the recently launched products and some amazing concept devices.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro is a remarkably lightweight laptop that you can pick up with one hand, making it a great on-the-go machine. Packing the latest 12th-generation Intel processor, an AMOLED display, and 5G support, the spec sheet here is nothing to sniff at.

Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro
Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro is an ultraportable notebook that weighs less than 1kg and is powered by a 12th-generation Intel i5 processor. It's also very thin thanks to the OLED display. As for design, it has a very flat but still stylish case, with a slightly contrasting aluminum screen cover. The rest of the chassis is made of plastic. Otherwise it would be impossible to have an extremely low weight of less than 900 grams. The Galaxy Book2 Pro is A4-sized, 11mm thick, and takes up no more than a stack of paper. At 885g, excluding the power adapter, it's one of the smallest subnotebooks. Samsung has installed a standard-sized keyboard in the case, which is only 30cm wide. The keystroke of the keyboard is less than a millimeter. It's generally comfortable to use. Additionally, the keyboard backlight improves visibility in dark environments. There are three brightness levels to choose from, which means there should be an appropriate setting for every environment. The touchpad also has minimal pressure on the keys. It's by no means the best, but it's totally adequate.
For hardware specifications, it has Intel Alder Lake i5-1240P processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD for system and storage. The Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro is on par with the competition in terms of performance. Despite its limited cooling capabilities, the current processor architecture can keep up with the previous generation, but in a smaller, lighter enclosure. The Intel Alder Lake processors also use the Intel Iris Xe 80EUs GPU. The performance here should be adequate for most tasks that require a graphics card. Image editing and video editing are successful at a basic level, but it takes some time. Like many of its competitors, the Samsung Galaxy Book2 advertises branded speakers. In fact, Austrian audio specialist AKG was acquired by Samsung some time ago, and its name can now be found on the bottom plate. For a sub-notebook, the Galaxy Book2 is capable of 21 hours of video playback runtime, which is from a slightly above-average 63Wh battery. Thus it's almost guaranteed to last a full day. At the same time, thanks to a powerful processor, there is always enough computing power available. In conclusion, at 13.3 inches, it offers a large enough work surface while being lighter and smaller than most competitors. With a 12th-gen i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD, it's not necessarily aimed at performance-oriented customers, but it has enough power to adequately handle almost any task. Thus it is suitable for casual or work usage.

Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G7 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 80 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.
