Leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy A54 show its rear camera module with three protruding sensors. At the front, there's a 6.4-inch screen with a hole-punch selfie camera.

The Samsung Galaxy A54 is rumoured to get a long overdue camera upgrade and a marginally better battery. It should ideally get a new SoC as well, presumably the recently spotted Exynos 1380- a direct successor to the Exynos 1280 powering last year's Galaxy A53. Its innards notwithstanding, the Galaxy A54 will get a significant redesign, as revealed by 91mobiles.

Right off the bat, the Galaxy A54's camera module looks eerily similar to the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+. It seems to have torn a page out of the Galaxy S22 Ultra's playbook and opted for protruding lenses. At the front, there's a 6.4-inch screen- very likely a 120 Hz AMOLED panel. It seems to lack a 3.5mm audio jack like its predecessor. Whether or not it will keep the micro SD card slot remains to be seen.

Going by last year's release cycle, a March 2023 release date seems likely for the Galaxy A54. While its improved camera will make it an attractive mid-ranger, its SoC might be offputting to many due to the negative connotation associated with the Exynos brand. It also runs the risk of being overshadowed by the Snapdragon 888-powered Galaxy M54.
