The Runk2.0 is a new and compact power bank that supports location tracking as well as NFC. It sports a carrying loop that can also be used as a charging cable.

The Runk2.0 is a new power bank with interesting features that is currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter. It's an extremely compact battery, which is why the capacity is also fairly low. To be more exact, the mobile charger measures around 0.9 x 1.9 x 2.9 inches and weighs just 2.5 oz. The power bank is equipped with a carrying loop, which can be used to attach the gadget to a backpack or carry-on luggage. It also serves as a charging cable.

The listed capacity is 3,000mAh, so the power bank won't be able to fully charge most modern smartphones. However, it should definitely be able to provide some additional battery charge in emergencies or other situations where a phone runs out of juice. According to Runker, the Runk2.0 can charge an iPhone 15 by roughly 55%. USB Power Delivery with extremely high charging speeds is not supported, but the 20-watt output should be suitable for regular quick charging. The power bank itself can be recharged with 9V and 2A, which translates to 18W.

The Runk2.0 power bank can also be located and supports both Apple's Find My and Google’s Find My Device on Android, so location tracking should be possible regardless of the platform. As always, location tracking is only possible if compatible Android or iOS devices are nearby, but this should be the case in most cities and many other places.

Additionally, an NFC tag is built into the power bank and can be used to open compatible smart doors or easily share contact info via a digital business card, for instance. As part of the aforementioned Kickstarter campaign, backers can reserve a Runk2.0 power bank for a pledge of $49. The typical financial risks of crowdfunding campaigns apply, which means that buyers could potentially lose their money if the product never makes it to market.
