Ring releases new Halloween Quick Replies and other spooky settings
Amazon Ring has released a new set of Halloween-themed Quick Replies. The pre-set responses include "Just a minute! Feel free to park your broom" and "Please leave the package (and any hocus pocus) outside".
The Quick Replies feature launched earlier this year. Like an answering machine, this feature allows you to set an automatic response and take messages from visitors when you cannot answer the door. Quick Replies are available on all Ring doorbell models aside from the Video Doorbell Wired.
Alongside this, Ring users can select from 9 eerie Chimes, as has also been possible in previous years. The Chime options include screams, howls, a creepy laugh and haunted organ tones. Owners of the Ring 2, Ring 3, 3 Plus and Ring 4 devices can also buy Halloween and Autumn-themed faceplates.
While these retail for €15 (~US$17.40) in Europe, Amazon Ring only sells a multipack in the US for US$39.99 (~€34.47). For some reason, designs vary between regions and Ring 2 faceplates are only available in the US. The Halloween sounds will be available until the end of October. Winter holiday-themed Chimes and Quick Replies are expected to land later in the year.
