Redmi Buds 6 Lite debut as new affordable wireless earbuds with long battery life, 40 dB ANC, and more
The Redmi Buds 6 Lite is a new pair of affordable wireless earbuds from Xiaomi. They launched at €20 in the EU, which is around $22.14. For that price, the new Bluetooth buds bring a handful of good features to the table. One of them is the long battery life.
Xiaomi advertises up to 38 hours of runtime with the charging case. Even some of the flagship Bluetooth buds, such as the Sony WF-1000X5, top out in under 30 hours. As for the earbuds themselves, they can offer up to 7 hours of playtime. There's also a fast charging feature, which can provide up to 2 hours of battery life with a 10-minute charge.
Another highlight of the Redmi Buds 6 Lite is ANC. Xiaomi says that the noise canceling can go as high as 40 dB, which should lead to comfortable commutes. These earbuds also promise excellent call quality with a dual-microphone setup that's paired with noise cancellation.
Design-wise, Xiaomi says that the Redmi Buds 6 Lite are optimized for in-ear comfort. The charging case is also said to be lightweight and compact, promising easy carry.
As for the sound performance, the Redmi Buds 6 Lite feature a 12.4 mm dynamic driver, aiming to offer "powerful bass" and "exquisite treble." The wireless earbuds support EQ adjustment through the Xiaomi Earbuds app, enabling you to customize the listening experience according to your preference.
Other highlights include three color options, a physical button on the case for easy pairing, and Google Fast Pair. Xiaomi hasn't yet offered full details on availability, but besides the EU, the new Redmi Buds 6 Lite are also available in the UK.
