Many people claim the Beats Powerbeats Pro earbuds are one of the best earbuds for working out. However, since they were released in 2019, Beats hasn't announced a follow up. That's about to change as Beats has released a teaser for the Powerbeats Pro 2 with a 2025 release date.

The teaser was shared by the official BeatsbyDre X account, and it shows Baseball star, Shohei Ohtani, donning a pair of the upcoming earbuds. Anyone familiar with Beats products should know by now that new products are usually seen first with celebrities even before their official launch.

From the short clip, one can see that the second-generation Powerbeats Pro earbuds have a new design that appears to have a smaller form factor. Hopefully, the charging case would be smaller now. While the earbuds have been redesigned, the beloved hook design still remains. The Instagram post also reveals the earbuds will be coming in 2025.

Despite the original Powerbeats Pro being over five years old, they are still available to buy on the BeastbyDre website for $249.95, although they are currently available on Amazon for $199. They boast features such as spatial audio, compatibility with iOS and Android devices, support for Audio Sharing, and support for Apple Find My in case you misplace them.

There's not a lot we know about the PowerBeats Pro 2, but one feature that is certain is the charging case ditching the Lightning port of the first-gen model for a USB-C port.
