Realme 7 5G launched in Europe with a MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC, 120Hz display, and more
Realme has launched the 5G variant of the Realme 7 in Europe. However, the Realme 7 5G brings forth a host of improvements over its 4G variant. It is also one of the first MediaTek Dimensity-powered smartphones to hit global markets. The Realme 7 5G will retail at €229 in Europe, but only between November 27 and November 30. After that, it will revert to its full €279 price tag.
The Realme 7 5G comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ panel clocked at 120Hz. It is a remarkable improvement over the 90Hz panel found on the 4G variant. 5G connectivity is made possible via its shiny new MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC. Although its core configuration is more or less identical to that of the Helio G85, it is based on a more efficient 7nm process node. The base Realme 7 variant comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is a significantly higher amount than what the 4G variant comes with. One minor difference between the 4G and 5G variants of the Realme 7 is support for FM Radio. For some inexplicable reason, the Realme 7 5G neglects to include the feature. The smartphone also gets Bluetooth 5.1 support as opposed to Bluetooth 5.0 on the Realme 7 4G.
Everything else is pretty much identical across both Realme 7 variants. The Realme 7 5G comes with a quad-camera array with a 48MP sensor at the helm. It is assisted by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP portrait lens. Selfies and video calls are handled by a 16MP sensor nestled at the top-right corner of the screen. The Realme 7 5G's 5,000mAh battery supports fast charging at up to 30W. It is only available in one colour variant, Mist Blue. Realme will likely add more as time passes.
