PITAKA’s new Glints of Gold iPhone 17 cases have been created with artist Gordon Hunt and are designed to look like light reflecting on water. They will come in a limited collector set and are available in addition to PITAKA’s other intriguing case options.

PITAKA is expanding its lineup of iPhone 17 cases with a new finish called Glints of Gold, which brings an artistic approach to a product category that’s often defined by durability and functionality. These cases combine design and craft with an emphasis on light, texture and physical feel rather than just protection.

The Glints of Gold finish is part of PITAKA’s Moment collection and was developed in collaboration with the British artist Gordon Hunt. Hunt is known for calm scenes that focus on subtle light and water reflections. His style is interpreted through materials instead of paint, turning his interest in shimmering surfaces into a phone case texture that’s intended to evoke movement and gentle light transitions.

The series arrives in two finishes: Lucid Blue, which uses a soft gradient to reference quiet ocean views, and Golden Glint, which incorporates tiny reflective elements meant to resemble light on still water. The company utilizes its Fusion Weave - LightRipple technology to achieve this effect, applying precise tension control to create a textured surface that appears to shift as it catches light. The result is not just a protective case but also a small piece of art for everyday use.

As seen above, a limited "Artist Edition" gift box for collectors is coming soon. It will include the Lucid Blue case, along with a matching ring holder, power bank, five artist-signed postcards and an illuminated display panel. The concept is to treat the case as something to show, store, or pass down, rather than just a regular phone accessory. Apart from the Glints of Gold finish, PITAKA will offer three case series for the iPhone 17.

For instance, the Edge Series focuses on minimal bulk and is just 0.84 to 0.89 millimeters thick while weighing about 18 to 21 grams. It includes the company’s PitaTap capacitive layer and is MagSafe-compatible. The Ridge Series emphasizes protection and features cushioned corners and military-grade drop resistance up to 8 ft. This case is 2.00 to 2.05 millimeters thick and weighs 33.5 to 39 grams. Last but not least, the Apex Series uses 3D full-wrap thermoforming and Orca Resin, which improves material strength by 200%. It comes in at 2.03 to 2.05 millimeters thick and weighs 34 to 36 grams.

All cases are available on PITAKA’s official website as well as on Amazon. Find your case that fits your style under the following links:
