This rugged protective case is available in black and red. It delivers dual-layer protection via a hard shell on the outside and a silicone layer on the inside, retailing for $29.95 USD.

OnePlus 5 is an interesting handset, especially since it charges faster than the Galaxy S8 and a few independent tests concluded it is quite durable. However, it is not waterproof, many consider it to be very similar to an iPhone in terms of design, and OnePlus apparently chose to play dirty to get high benchmark scores.

Although OnePlus 5 comes with a few stylish cases, those who need reliable protection should choose something more robust. Otterbox has been around for a few years, releasing such accessories for all major handsets that launched since 2013, and now the time has come for OnePlus 5 to get an Otterbox Case.

The new Otterbox Case for OnePlus 5 comes in black or red and has a price tag of $29.95 USD in the US (other markets get different prices, as it usually happens). This case features a silicone layer on the inside and a hard shell on the outside but also offers a streamlined design and weighs just 0.12 pounds.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
