Just the Boss Fights – the name says it all. This action-adventure skips side quests, regular enemies and exploration, focusing entirely on one epic boss battle after another. You play as a lone warrior and the last hope for a world on the brink. Once revered protectors, the Titans and Colossi have been twisted by a mysterious corruption, turning them into powerful threats. Your mission: defeat these towering guardians, one by one.
The game features a 2D side-scrolling perspective with a pixelated retro style. Each boss fight presents a unique challenge, and according to Steam reviews, they’re anything but easy. Players must learn attack patterns, dodge with precision and strike back at the perfect moment to come out on top.
The game’s fresh concept has been well received on Steam. While there were only 28 user reviews at the time of research, all of them were positive. Players praised the challenging and varied boss fights, along with the smooth movement and satisfying combat feedback. Some criticism was directed at occasional camera issues and the lack of story elements. Just the Boss Fights launched on Steam on November 24, developed and published by Tactical Toad LLC, and is completely free to play. As of now, there is no official information regarding Steam Deck compatibility (available on Amazon for around $750).
