OnePlus phone tipped with new Snapdragon 8 series chipset and 185Hz display

OnePlus introduced the Turbo 6 in China in January 2026. It was also rebranded as the OnePlus Nord 6 for international markets. Now, a new leak has revealed early details of the OnePlus Turbo 7.
Writing on Weibo, tipster Smart Pikachu suggests that the OnePlus Turbo 7 may sport a 200MP camera. However, it may miss out on a periscope telephoto camera. For the display, the leak lists a refresh rate of up to 185Hz. It may also feature a glass rear panel.
The leak points to a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 chipset for the OnePlus Turbo 7. For context, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 has powered phones including the Motorola Signature (curr. $1,049 on Amazon).
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 features an octa-core CPU comprising two Oryon Gen 3 Prime cores and six Oryon Gen 3 Performance cores. It uses an Adreno 829 GPU and is based on a 3nm process node. So far, there are no details on what upgrades the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 may offer.
For reference, the OnePlus Turbo 6 was powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and packed a 9,000mAh battery. It featured a 165Hz AMOLED display and a 50MP rear camera.
