The OnePlus 3T is getting one more new color for its higher-end SKU. In addition to the existing Gunmetal Gray option, the 6 GB RAM and 64 GB eMMC configuration will now ship in Soft Gold for the same 439 Euro asking price through the online OnePlus store. Interestingly, the even costlier 128 GB model will not have any gold color options and will instead continue to ship only in gray when supplies are refreshed.
The gold model ships with UFS 2.0 memory for fast read and write rates and its other internal specifications remain unchanged from the original OnePlus 3T. Thus, users can expect the same Snapdragon 821 SoC, 5.5-inch display, and rigid chassis. Our own reviewer cites its fast performance and rear camera as highlights whereas the front camera can actually perform worse than the one on the OnePlus 2.
The OnePlus 3T is itself a minor update to the OnePlus 3 with a new processor, larger battery capacity, and Android 7 pre-installed. No word yet on if a "Rose Gold" color would be made available a la the latest iPhone series.
