OnePlus 15T teaser reveals stronger waterproof ratings and hint at final design

OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 15T soon, and while the company hasn't formally announced anything, Li Jie Louis, the brand's president, has been teasing the compact flagship phone for a good while now. With the latest round of teasers, Louis has a core build quality detail.
The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship phone is set to feature a "full range" of waterproof ratings. In the teaser, Louis mentions IP69K, IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings. This would be a notable upgrade from the last-gen flagship, which had only an IP65 rating, and these ingress protection ratings match what the OnePlus 15 brings to the table (12/256GB curr. $768.87 on TradingShenzhen).
Alongside this, Louis has dismissed a recent OnePlus 15T design leak. This leak has been circulating on Chinese social media platforms, and it shows a supposed OnePlus phone with a large, rectangular camera island on the back.
Louis shares that the leak doesn't show the real OnePlus 15T, and adds that the actual phone "looks even better." For those who missed it, the company's president recently gave a glimpse of the front, and in that teaser, the phone is shown to have narrow bezels on all sides.
That specific teaser also compared the bottom bezel size of the OnePlus 15T with that of the iPhone 17 Pro, and the difference is notable, at least on the shared picture. Other than that, the phone was spotted by AnTuTu on its database, which confirmed the SoC, and a recent post from Louis has hinted that there will be upgrades in the camera department. More official info about the device is expected to emerge soon.
