One would think that the hype around the Nothing Phone (1) would die out after its launch. However, the smartphone has found itself at the centre of attention again. But this time, it is for all the wrong reasons. Several users have taken to Twitter, Reddit and other forums to complain about display issues with their shiny new Nothing Phone (1).
A few users are complaining about a green tint on the display that gets progressively worse with higher brightness values. One affected user had moisture creep into the camera modules and rear chassis. Others have reported seeing a dead pixel near the front-facing camera. The location of the pixel varies, but it is always in the periphery of the camera sensor.
The company's official Twitter handle confirmed that it is aware of the numerous issues with the Nothing Phone (1), but there's no word about when a fix will be deployed. While some of the issues could be fixed via a software update, others could require a replacement.
The scope of the problem isn't immediately apparent because many people are yet to get their hands on a unit. Users in India, however, seem to be disproportionately affected by the issue, indicating that it could have something to do with the local manufacturing facility.
