Reviews for the Nokia T21
Nokia's T21 is supposed to be just as suitable for gaming as it is for working and video chats. Even with the 4G module, the Android-12 tablet is available for well under 300 Euros. Alternatively, it can also be rented. We will find out whether the mix is right in the test.

Like its predecessor, the Nokia T21 is a good choice if you want a tab to browse the internet, watch videos, listen to music or read ebooks. Compared to other devices in the price segment like the Oppo Pad Air, Redmi Pad and Realme Pad, Nokia’s latest entry-level tab has a premium look and feel but the performance is not that great. Those looking for a tab for kids or media consumption can consider the Nokia T21. But if you are looking for a device to multitask or play games, I would recommend taking a look at the likes of the Realme Pad or the Redmi Pad.

The Nokia T21 is an affordable and impressive tablet with a good screen, loud speakers, great battery life, and added features such as a SIM slot, active pen stylus support, and second-screen functionality. However, its slow performance makes it unsuitable for some, especially those wanting a tablet for gaming. Having said that, it is a viable option for those who want a big display for content consumption, studies or office.

If you have the money to spend, you can consider buying the Nokia T21 for streaming video content, business purposes and to perform other low-intensity day-to-day tasks. However, if you want a tab for gaming purposes and need a tab with a super smooth and fast performance, you can try looking at other options in the market from brands like Redmi, Motorola, among others.

Nokia is now playing its game in the mid-range or budget segment, be it phones or tablets. The brand recently came up with a lower end mid-range tablet called Nokia T21, which starts at Rs 17,999 and goes up till Rs 18,999 for the 4G LTE variant. The tablet aims to compete with Realme’s Pad X and Oppo’s Pad Air at that price. But does it have enough to go against these tablets or it vanishes away in thin air? Let’s find out in our review of the Nokia T21. The Nokia T21 is a decent performer for video streaming and carrying our light work. If you are a stock android lover, you will like it.

It is a tough time to break into the tablet market, but the Nokia T21 stands a chance of making a dent. With a sustainable design, good screen, long battery life and loud speakers it works well as a couch companion, and for business buyers, it offers second-screen connectivity and a SIM slot. There is a weighty caveat, the T21 is slow to charge and in general use, but if you can get around this and are in the market for a well-rounded budget tablet, it should be one to consider.

The Nokia T21 takes everything we liked about the T20 and improves on some of the areas that we didn’t. It combines a premium-looking design with capable performance for a budget buy, and the battery life is also impressive. The lack of a charger in the box means that speeds will be slow for most users, and the display isn’t as dazzling as the previous generation. Nonetheless, these are minor gripes for what is a very good affordable tablet from Nokia. The problem – for Nokia – is that for roughly same price, the Oppo Pad Air offers better performance and comes with a charger in the box, making it the better buy unless you find it’s more expensive when you read this.

With the T21, Nokia has done what it does best. This is a budget tablet that looks the part and performs reasonably and the ability to finally play video at resolutions above 480p means we finally have a Nokia tablet that’s worthy of a recommendation. It could do with a faster processor and, as a result, performance is mostly identical to last year’s model, notwithstanding the slight improvement in battery life. It’s because of this that the Nokia T21 comes across as more of a do-over than a proper second-gen release. However, as much as I would have preferred Nokia to make improvements across the board, there isn’t much else to complain about with the Nokia T21. If you don’t already own the previous model and you’re searching for something that’s of superior quality to Amazon’s Fire devices, you can’t do much better for £200.

It’s not an iPad, they’re still in another class, but it is a lot cheaper at £239 and boasts some eco credentials for the planet savers out there. Versatile, with a lengthy battery life, this is a strong mid-priced tablet option worth considering.

Model:
Well, Nokia is back with T21 this time, a more expensive tablet than last year's impressive T20 that is also a more complete package. Simply put, the new model boasts lengthy battery life, an excellent display and dual speakers that deliver a more bass-booming sound than one might expect from such a slim device. As for its display, this device carries a sharp 10.36in with 2K resolution. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the colours really pop off the screen while streaming videos and playing gaming apps such as Call of Duty. Apart from that, the company’s Ozo Playback audio delivers well-rounded sound at up to 96db of output and deeper bass notes than one might expect from a tablet with such a compact, slim frame. As far as the camera is concerned, this tablet has been equipped with a decent 8MP front facing camera that works well for video calls. In addition, there is also an 8MP rear camera with autofocus. On the other hand, it is worth noting that this tablet can also be used as a wireless second screen for a Windows computer. Well, this works similarly to Apple’s Sidecar feature and gives the user more visual space for the main computer when needed.
Speaking about its performance, it is delivered by the Unisoc T612 chip which is capable enough for everyday tasks and a bit of casual gaming. This processor has been paired with 4GB of RAM. Along with that, there is a 64GB of storage built in and this can be expanded by up to 512GB with a microSD card. Apart from those mentioned earlier, the Nokia T21 also supports stylus use and has NFC connectivity. Therefore, it can also be used for contactless payments for user convenience. While most might prefer to simply use the mobile phone to make such payments, it is still good to know that this tablet allows such features too. In addition, battery life from the 8200mAh power pack on board is a plus point. The company has also claimed up to three days of endurance with T21’s battery life. While the tablet supports up to 18w wired USB-C charging, there is no charging brick included in the box though. Despite all those mentioned above, the downside on this, and all Android tablets, when compared to an iPad is that the app ecosystem is much weaker with far less apps optimised for tablet use. However, this seems to be improving. Nokia has promised two years of Android OS upgrades and incidentally, the Nokia T21 tends to run with Android 12 out of the box. Nokia has also been keen to push its eco credentials, and the T21’s tough body is made from aluminium and 60 per cent recycled plastic. Overall, it is a great tablet to be explored, depending on the need and preference of the user.

This is a standard display format for tablet computers or small convertibles. You see more on the screen than on a smartphone but you can't use big resolutions well. On the other hand, mobility is not a problem.

The company is known for its telecommunications equipment and cell phones. Nokia was one of the leading manufacturers of cell phones in the 1990s and has expanded its business into networking and technology solutions in recent years.
In 2011, Nokia partnered with Microsoft on Windows-based cell phones and sold the entire cell phone division to Microsoft in 2014, which limited the Nokia brand name to basic cell phones. In 2016, Finnish electronics manufacturer HMD Global entered into a licensing agreement with Nokia, bought the remaining Nokia name rights from Microsoft Mobile, and since 2017 has exclusively offered Nokia cell phones worldwide, which are based on Android, among other things, and are produced by Foxconn.
72.83%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
