Motorola to reveal new Moto 360 lineup of smartwatches on September 8

Lenovo has sent out invitations for a an event on September 8 to take place in Shanghai, China. The teaser image for the event shows a portion of the new Moto 360 smartwatch. Notably, the on-off button has been relocated on the second generation model to the 2 o'clock position.

The lone teaser image already confirms a handful of recent speculations about the device. The slogan "It's time" may be referring to the current generation Moto 360, which has been in the market for over 18 months. Thus, an updated model to the classic Moto smartwatch is long overdue.

It is likely that the press event will reveal other smartwatches in addition to the second generation Moto 360. Leakers from @upleaks have released images of the new lineup, including the Moto 360S, 360L, and 360 Sport. The 360S is expected to carry a 42 mm chassis, 22 mm band, and a 1.37-inch display, while the larger 360L may have a 46 mm chassis, 22 mm band, and a 1.55-inch display.

Lastly, details on the Moto 360 Sport is short. However, the source expects it to be fit for outdoor use and to carry a hybrid display, barometer, GPS, and waterproof chassis.
